Meet Christine

Growing up in Ontario, I spent countless hours exploring the forests and shores of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, collecting stones, shells, bits of beach glass, feathers, and intriguing manmade castoffs with cool shapes and textures.  These little treasures, with their compelling textures, patterns, colours and stories inspire my jewelry designs today.  I mix that love of nature with my fascination for the medieval period, ancient civilizations, and the cosmos to synergize an artistic style that’s uniquely me.

My one of a kind and limited series designs are created from an array of precious metals, and precious and semiprecious gems. Stones are individually selected for their unique colours, cuts, and even character-rich imperfections. Gold contributes a luxurious warm and sunny colour, while silver provides either a dark oxidized or cool-toned lustre to the palette.  Using the time-honoured techniques of the goldsmith, I fabricate each piece by hand, drawing further inspiration from the metal and stones.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me in my garden, or hiking with my dogs and husband, exploring the city or somewhere in the woods or on a beach.
